Used Luxury Car Buying Guide

Luxury cars are the top of the line, the best that you can find in a vehicle. When you’re on a budget, though, luxury vehicles may not be something you can afford. That’s why used luxury cars are the perfect compromise, a balance between what you really want and what your budget can handle. When you find the right used luxury car, you’ll be able to get the features, performance, and quality you want at a price tag that fits your life.

What Makes a Luxury Car a Luxury Car?

What sets a luxury car apart from other models? To put it simply, it’s a combination of the quality of the construction and the finishing touches. Even if two cars have exactly the same frame, the luxury car will end up having the best features and materials. You’ll likely find leather, top-quality audio systems, all of the bells and whistles of technology and safety packages, and any and all options that will pamper both the driver and the passengers.

Types of Luxury Cars

Luxury cars are just like other cars, and they come in a wide variety of types. You can choose from a coupe, which is a two-door model that typically seats four; a sedan, which is a four-door model that can seat up to five; an SUV, which is typically a four-door model that can seat between five to eight and sits higher than a typical car; and a convertible, which can be a coupe or a sedan and has a removable top. Many luxury brands also have performance models, which is a nice way to say sports cars, that amp up the engine performance, speed, and styling to create a more thrilling experience. Depending on what you’re looking for, you can find it all in a luxury vehicle.

Luxury Models

You’re probably familiar with many of the luxury brand manufacturers, big names like BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Porsche. But you may not realize that there are many luxury brands, many of which are made by the same manufacturers as typical vehicles. If you see Acura, Infiniti, Lexus, Jaguar, Land Rover, Cadillac, Lincoln, Volvo, or even Buick-you’re looking at a luxury car.

Buying Used Luxury Cars

When you’re looking for a used Acura or a used Mercedes-Benz, look for a reputable dealer that knows cars and has a good reputation in the community. Ideally, you’ll want someone who can tell you the history of the car, offers a good inspection of their vehicles, and stands behind their sales. Northeast Car Connection can help!
